REHABILITATION OF ORTHOPEDIC PATIENTS

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) area group of disorders associated with the bones, muscles, joints, tendons and nerves. In the newly equipped hall for Kinesitherapy, Topusko Health Spa offers a program of prevention and treatment of orthopedic diseases and sports injuries under the supervision of specialist doctors and physiotherapists specially trained for treatment of people with musculoskeletal disorders.

Some of the most common MSDs are:

• Carpal tunnel syndrome
• De Quervain disease
• Epicondylitis
• Pain in the lower back
• Tendinitis
• Ruptured ligament and/or meniscal knee
• Rotator cuff

Treatment includes:

• Initial and final examination by a specialist
• Kinesiotherapy and physical therapy recommended by a medical specialist
• Functional diagnosis and evaluation of a physiotherapist

Depending on the therapeutic indication and the objectives of rehabilitation, Topusko Health Spa offers:

• Individual exercises in the newly equipped hall
• Training on the balance platform, group exercises, group exercises in the pool, electrostimulation, galvanic, interferential and diadynamic currents, diathermy and laser, magnetotherapy, hydrokinesis therapy, individual underwater massage.
